Teenagers are valuable.

Indy MetroMetro News, Metro Outreach, Uncategorized

At Indy Metro, we make it our mission to help people know and follow Jesus.  Teenagers are no exception!  We want teens to know that they are valuable and have something to offer to their communities and church. These photos were taken at the home of Covenant Member Rich Irish during a gardening project.

“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”  Acts 20:35

“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.”  Romans 6:4

We are praising God for the baptisms of Justin ‘Red’ Ivy and BobbiJo Baldock, who were baptized on July 26, 2015.  Red, a Capstone Student and junior at Arsenal Tech High School, said:  “Today is the day I get baptized. It’s a new chapter of my life that starts today. I have come a long way and now my daughter Sammie deserves a better daddy.”

Bobbijo, a senior at Arsenal Tech and a Boys and Girls Club employee, said:  ‘In one week I will be a senior. Let’s be honest, I’ve never thought I would make it this far in school. But I believe I will go farther and get my degree. In God I do trust and believe. I give him all the power to lead me through the obstacles I face.”

We are so grateful that God is at work in their lives!
