Our vision has us taking lasting hope and providing safe spaces for our neighbors most threatened by the brokenness in our city. Our hope is to simply be a church of such genuine impact that, if we were to disappear, the surrounding community and city would be filled with disappointment. We emphasize community, discipleship and service in order to know and follow and to help other people know and follow Jesus. As people full of grace, we are to find joy in pouring ourselves out in the service of others.
We believe our community development efforts are best focused on prioritizing the next generation. Through the generosity of our members and like-minded partners, we actively love, serve, and build meaningful relationships with inner city students and their families. This has primarily come through our continued emphasis within Arsenal Tech High School and students in the near eastside of Indianapolis.
How do we serve our city’s next generation?
Community partnering together to serve
We’ve helped to develop a network of a faith based organizations, community leaders, and school administrators. The group has hosted tailgates at sporting events, provided meals for students, and been involved in various day-to-day activities at Arsenal Tech to engage in transformative relationships.
Establishing a next- generation urban church
A vision has developed as a result years of engaging urban students in the near eastside and identifying a lack of holistic engagement of culturally connected churches. While we’ve partnered with others to serve the needs of students, this generation is in dire need of churches that understand their big questions. What does the eternal message of the Gospel of God’s grace look like in the next generation?
Capstone Leadership Initiative
Capstone Leadership Initiative is a relationally focused program where adults come alongside high school students of Arsenal Tech to navigate the present and plan for a successful future. We develop indigenous leaders from the young people of our communities to help them realize the asset that they can be in bringing about transformation in their families and in their communities. Each month, Unconditional visits six strip clubs in Indianapolis, bringing gift bags to 175 employees. Each gift is an invitation to a friendship, connection to resources, and most of all a relationship with Christ.
Many people working in the adult entertainment industry have been told they are not welcome in church. We are here to let them know God loves them where they are, and our friendship with them is unconditonal.
